SWK Technologies is currently looking for a web developer who will be responsible for developing our next generation of multi-tenant, cloud-based EDI products.
The primary focus of this position will be the development of server-side logic, the definition and implementation of the database schema, and development of database objects that interact with this data. You will also be responsible for developing logic that formats and translates data for exchange with multiple ERP systems and developing front-end tools that interact and manage back-end components.
Responsibilities
- Produce functional and technical design specifications for new features, along with estimates to deliver this work.
- Develop database schema needed to support EDI data storage, and develop data objects that write data to and extract data from this schema.
- Develop server-side logic needed to receive data from EDI translators, store that data, and then format and translate that data for consumption by ERP products.
- Develop server-side logic needed to receive data from ERP systems, store that data, and then format and translate that data for consumption by EDI translators.
- Develop application components while considering scalability and performance.
- Develop user interfaces that allow management of back-end options for customers.
- Implementation of security and data protection.
- Provide level 2 support to the consulting team for onboarding new customers or troubleshooting clients.
Skills and Qualifications
- Develop systems that consume and store data from EDI translators, extraction and translation of ERP relevant data, and output to different formats (XML/JSON) consumable by the corresponding ERP system, as well as the return process of data coming from the ERP to the EDI translator.
- Create database schemas that support business processes and the data objects to write and read this data.
- Implement user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
- Manage AWS hosting environments, including database administration and scaling application to support load changes.
- Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
- Perform set up and execution of administrative backups.
- Must have proficient knowledge in back-end programming languages, in particular Microsoft MVC, Microsoft Web API, .NET, Java, and JavaScript.
- Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, and writing stored procedures, views, and triggers.
- Must have basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as ASP, HTML5, and JavaScript.
- Must have proficient understanding of OWASP security principles and OWIN design and implementation.
- Must have understanding of session management in a distributed server environment.
- Understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) a plus,
- University degree in computer science and 3-5 years of experience building SaaS web-based applications preferred.
- Positive, self-directed, and self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
